Time for another Client Spotlight! Meet Molly of Molly Makes Pottery—the ceramic master who turns clay into works of art! From stunning bowls and mugs to adorable pet dishes, planters, plates, spoon rests, vases, and even thumb cups, Molly’s creations bring a whole new level of beauty to any space. Not to mention, they make the perfect gifts (seriously, who wouldn’t want one?). And, just when you think she couldn’t get any more impressive; she’s also an incredible photographer. Molly is out here spreading beauty in more ways than one!

How did you get started in pottery and when was Molly Makes Pottery born?

I bought my pottery wheel during the pandemic as a fun hobby. This was in 2021. Shortly after, I became completely obsessed and started making pots every day after work, and on the weekends. Within the year I quit my full time job to pursue pottery.

A lot of people say working with clay is very therapeutic, do you find this to be true as well?

Absolutely. When I have a full day of throwing pots I am able to enter a flow state and just rely on muscle memory. It's very relaxing and rewarding.

You recently moved away from Denver to Crested Butte; do you have any plans to change your business model in your new location?

I will continue to ship all over the U.S. but I am really excited to connect with the local community here in Crested Butte. I hope to do some art markets and farmers markets this summer.
